Invasive inspections/Treatments

An invasive inspection snap vent area found heavy mudding and damage in the wall cavity.
A typical termite lead travelling through the brick work on the exterior of a home.

If significant termite damage is
found it is recommended that an invasive
inspection is carried out to allow you, the
purchaser the opportunity to make an informed
decision regarding the extent of damage and
repair required before you purchase the property.

The work involves using a borerscope to identify
the wall studs and timbers that have termite
mudding. The next step is to cut a large hole,
approximately the size of ½ an A4 page so the
timbers can be probed.

If there is no damage to wall studs, a snap vent is
then installed. If there is damage then a builder
will be needed to repair the damaged timbers and
additional lining materials will need to be removed.

This work is normally negotiated between the
vendor and the purchaser.

Treatments
A wide range is available from Exterra baiting systems to chemical barriers using Termidor or Biflex.

Ron is happy to discuss all treatment options with you.
